"I was excited to discover this fairly new spot (6months old) on Google Maps, situated right at the heart of Melaka Raya, walking distance from my work place. Tucked in between restaurant Ole Sayang & a Fuji Film studio, it is directly opposite restaurant KengDom. Recently renovated, it is fairly small. It serves Indian food (mainly South Indian), run by a friendly & hospitable couple, Sugu & Lawrence. Although the vegetarian banana leaf meal (sadhya style) had a Kerala hint to it, the other dishes like cabbage & mix vegetables were catered to the Malaysian taste buds. Being a Friday, they had biryani rice & payasam too. They have plenty of non- vegetarian dishes too. Food is tasty. They're only open during the day from 7am to 5pm, & closed on Sunday. In the mornings, they apparently offer puttu, iddiappam & paal appam too. Vadais available too. They have Catering services . Payment can be made by cash or eWallet. Pricing reasonable.Parking during peak hours around this area, may be a challenge."

"Some of the best South Indian food I’ve had. Staff were incredibly patient and nice and took time to explain dishes if we had any questions. Highlights were definitely the masala chai, badam milk, and rasam. Highly recommend"

"An Indian outlet in Melaka Raya area. A little more than 6 months old. The food is good and has a spread of different vegetables and non-vege items. They have Biryani as well. Esp during lunchtime. There are lots of options for vegetarians. The servers are very prompt, courteous, and efficient. The ambience was pleasant with spacious seating arrangement and tastefully done interior deco. Payment can be made by QR or cash. Parking can be a challenge during the daytime as it's situated in a busy area but can find one a little away from the outlet."

"Date : 26.02.2026 , Thursday I recently visited **YYASHI INDIAN RESTORAN**. My personal opinion I am sharing to you all: I recently visited YYASHI INDIAN RESTORAN. Food Taste: Good and satisfying. Cleanliness: The restaurant is clean and comfortable. ℹ Portioning & Serving: The food is served by the staff (not self-service). The portion given was relatively small, yet the charges were high for the amount served. All side dishes are served together on the same plate, not separately. This gives the impression of a full meal but seems designed to keep the price high. Pricing: On the higher side. Based on the attached receipt, the total amount feels overpriced compared to similar restaurants nearby, especially given the portion size and serving style. For occasional visits, it may still be acceptable once in a while. However, for workers or those looking for a daily eatery, this may not be the best option due to the cost versus portion value. Advice to customers: Please check the pricing of each item before ordering to avoid any surprises at the counter. Overall: Good taste , clean environment , but portioning and pricing may not match expectations ."
